Under the darkness!

David and I came to Taipei yesterday staying at our grand parents' house.
We met at MRT station, TaiPower Building, for assembling.

Actually,
I did not know our plan of today's meet.
I got the destination and figured out that only David there waiting for us.
Mushroom and Jack should be here but they took the wrong train and got the wrong station.

Anyway,
we, Lisa, Melody and those I had mentioned above, all arrived at lunch time.
Melody led us to the restaurant and we began to chat as we always do while we meet.
I didn't worry about food at all every time Melody appeared because she always led us to delicious meals.

We then went Ximen to find MTV theater(MTV電影館).
I don't really know how to translate this name correctly.
It is a place that people can watch movies in a room.
The differences between MTV theater and the ordinary movie theater are that it is smaller and you can stay with your friends.
We chose to come here because we would like to have

Final terms were all finished.
It is the first day of my summer vacation.
I am glad that I finally get the chance to post some words here again after a really long break.
It is really uncomfortable to use the key board of my laptop.
I think there was no enough space between every key.

Though there are no more study have to be worked on.
I decided to stay at my dormitory to relax for the rest of days instead of going back to Chia Yi at once.
In order to do nothing.
All I want to do is nothing after such a busy semester.

The only trouble left is that there are some stuff in my dormitory still waiting for me to organize them and find a place for them while summer vacation after I leave my dormitory.

His hair was light green.
Such a a strange man?

I used paper with different color to made it.
It was the first man I made in POP class.

The teacher taught us how to do step by step.
There were lots of skills and tips needed to be noticed.

Unlike what we used to think, we didn't draw the shape first and cut with those lines.
We had to cut directly with the skills he taught.

It was useful and I finally made it.
Actually, every students succeeded in making his or her creations.

It was really inspired to have it done after two weeks break of the class for the mid term week.

Going to NTHU market became a routine.
We went their every weekend with different reasons or just for relaxing.

Pg had to go to the store to let his net of his badminton racket be repaired.
We went for it at first before we eat.

Its location was actually a little far away from the place we used to go.
Therefore, we walked around and tried to decided which restaurant to go instead of going back to the place we were familiar with.

The dumpling restaurant named, XX蒸餃, got our attention at first because the dumplings were on sale.
However, we turned to the restaurant in the other side of the road.
"餃子大王" written in red color on the white board.
It looked a little old but there were more customers in it.

I ordered 15 boiled dumplings and a bowl of hot & sour soup.
Each dumpling costs two and a half NT dollars.

It seemed that the dumplings were cooked to much at the first sight.
But after I took a bite,
I found it was cooked just right.
Not any flour was raw and the skins were not too weak.

To sum up,
it tastes good and I was satisfied.

The only downside to me was that its soup was a little too spicy to me.

It was the last day of the mid term week.
After a week's break,
we could finally have time to play badminton.

Jack came to ask me if we would go.
It was really a surprise because he was always busy before.

Thankfully,
there were enough space tonight and we didn't waste much time on waiting.

I missed the feeling after such a long time without badminton.
----

We canceled a plan of visiting PPC, who had problem of his leg and lived in the hospital these days.
We heard that he was about to leave the hospital and wait for the diagnosis.
But the good news was that he succeeded in applying college.
Congratulations to him though he was not sure whether to go or not.

No matter what you were doing.
It was irritating while we were working, playing, reading, watching movies and even sleeping.

Our blood were their food and they didn't thank us.
They bit us, left their split in our bodies making us felt uncomfortable.

Though we killed more than ten mosquitoes every night,
There were still lots of them standing on the floor, ceiling, doors, desks and flying around you.
By the way,
we'd better not to move our clothes hang in the room before going to bed.
Or you would started to worried about those just ran out from your clothes and other dark corners.

The weather after I came back form Chiayi after spring vacation became hot and sunny.
I put my quiz in the bag and took out blanket to keep me warm at night.
I couldn't let any part of my body uncovered under these hot nights.

I thought I finally found some advantages of the winter :(

I could still remember last time we came the restaurant at the second floor of dorm F2.
We walked for a not short distance only to find out that it wasn't open.
We were so disappointed that we went mos nearby instead.

Tonight,
we went to try it again.
Actually,
we were almost forgetting it.

But a few days before,
my roommates went the restaurant and told me that the fried pork chops they served were great.
Last time, I went their for discount while its opening time.
This time I went for its tastiness as well.

To my surprise,
there were only a few people while Jack and I just got there.
However,
I didn't feel weird.
On the opposite, I was glad to have meal with such a environment with not so much people.
It was some times too noisy and crowd in most of the restaurants in the campus.

I was glad that the fried pork chop were really tasty.

Tasty, a steak house, that mama had taken me to last year.
Of course, it was not in my choices list of my common life.

It was the meeting held once a semester for my teacher and his students.
Though we could go to talk to him every week in certain time,
but we were usually not so initiative.

Meals were tasty as the same as in my memory.
At first we just got there,
everyone was silent.

I tried to find something to talk to my senior.
It was boring to be quiet.
Thankfully,
it worked and some others started to chat.

After finishing the meal,
our teacher started to share some ideas about college life to us.

He knows much more than us surely.
I appreciated that there exists someone who was willing to help.

Calculus mid term was approaching.
I started to review it this weekend.
And after calculus, physics will come the next day.

It was rainy and made it hard for us to go out without becoming wet.
I therefore ate my breakfast at my dorm.
Fortunately, the rain didn't remain long.
After noon, it became much weaker and almost disappeared.

Haha and his classmate went to Taichung to join a programing contest held by Microsoft(?).
While they were about to go back to Jongli, the idea to visit us who were in Hsinchu came to his mind.
After giving me a phone call then they were coming.

It was rare to have some one visiting us this semester.
Actually, they were the first of this year.

I asked PG to led them into our campus after they arrived in front of our gate.
Mushroom appeared to welcome them as well.
Then we led them to walk around our campus and introduce the interesting part.

Then we walked through the path between HCTU and NTHU(交清小徑).
Kira said he was too busy to come to see us but we thought we still had to visit him.
We went to his room and he finally agreed to have dinner with us.
Moreover, Jesse was waken by us and went with us, too.
It seemed that the two who were in NTHU were very tired and sleepless.
I hope they could care about their health more.

Any way,
we went to the place we were familiar and Jack treat everyone one a bowl of 冬瓜仙草絲.
He was so happy that he found his favorite badminton racket that he lost it last semester,
And he shared his happiness to us :)

Every meet will end and we sent them to the bus stop, continuing gossiping until the bus came.
Nice to see them and we had to go back to study.

Mistakes made this day a tasty day :)
At the first time I woke up,
I felt that I slept enough only while I was still lying on my bed.
As my body moved up and sit on my bed, my eyelids became heavier little by little.

About the third time while it was nine o'clock,
I finally woke up and drank some corn soup as my breakfast.
It was the beginning of my day and I started to work.

I planned to went the restaurant next to the Dorm-F2.
Though we lived in school almost every day.
There exists some places we didn't visit or only a few times.

To our surprise,
it didn't open as we expected.
Mos was just near by where we assembled.
With no disagreement, we had mos burger out of expectation.

Another mistake happened the evening,
and it was just similar to the one we met this noon.
We would like to have steak at 風雲樓.
It was closed though it should be open as the restaurant messages announced on the board.

We had already left NCTU.
Therefore, we chose to go to NTHU night market, which located in front of NTHU's gate, instead of returning back to NCTU.

"Ocean Steak", a steak house we never went before.
It wasn't expensive but still costs more than 風雲樓.
Thankfully, it was more tasty than that in 風雲樓.
Four of us, including me, had chicken and the rest had steak.

I thought the great part was that we had a good time here and relaxed for a while after a week's work.
But,
Sorry to my budget :(

There were English courses for all freshmen in NCTU.
We can choose one of them to study every semester.
I chose listening course this semester.

Our English teacher asked us to watch English movie or read books at Language Self-Study Center.
We can got a VOD(Video on Demand) passport to record our study.
Every time we got a stamp after we study.

Though it sounded boring,
it was not.
They provided lots of choices for watching.
David had the same work last semester and he chose CSI.

At the first few times, I watched some scientific videos of National Geographic.
It was interesting but it took to much time finish it.
I figured out a familiar face this time while I was thinking of what to watch.

Snoopy, my favorite cartoon character in my childhood.

And I still love it now.
The stories of Peanuts were not serious as videos of National Geographic.
It made my study as a recreation.

David asked me that whether I have interest in POP or not.
In fact, I had POP course in the art class of high school before.
I did try to write in different styles and I likes to draw as well.
Though it didn't mean that I would like to use POP every time I write or draw.
I was interested in POP of course.

We went the introduction meet of the POP club.
The classroom wasn't full.
But the people there were friendly.
Usually, old members of a club were kind to newcomers because clubs can exist only if there are members.
I was glad to know that the teacher told us clearly what we will learned in the future if we join the club.

David and I promised them to join the club and will come the next week to begin the course.
I was glad that I finally chosen a club to participate in.
I didn't join any club last semester.

But, I thought I may have to work harder so that I can handle my POP course and the courses of my department.

Sometimes,
one may lost his or her watchfulness.
It seemed so unbelievable, but it just happened.

Last night,
the last baseball game for the qualification of Olympics was held at night in Taichung.
Two asian teams, us and Korea, had a good game until ten while the game ended with the disappointing consequence.
I went to bed earlier than before after that.

Today,
still lots of people in the campus.
There were baseball games, basketball matches and so on were held in our school between teams standing for different departments or schools.

We got the opportunity that no matches held in multi sports building to play badminton.
There were still lots of people.
Fortunately, we still got the space to play unlike two days before.

At night,
we had a great meal at the restaurant in NTHU market.
We also went there to buy some cloth for racket.

It was such a relaxing day.
After a short time rest, I hope I will be ready for going on.

It was Thursday, the day we practice playing badminton.
My class dismissed at about six thirty at night.
Therefore I ate supper a little late.
It didn't affect our schedule.

We were thinking about going to occupy the space at eight thirty.
We had thought that there would be people there so we were just preparing for getting the right to use the space from nine and ten.

However,
we failed.
The multi-sports building was filled with people.
We suddenly ran to the other side of the campus to the badminton building.

Sadly,
we could start our practice until ten.
It was too late so we gave up.

I hope we could make it tomorrow while some students were going to go back home on Friday.

It was just after I ate lunch.
I went back to my dorm and open the program, "SopCast".

It was a program that its function was almost the same as a television.
Users could select some channels to watch different TV shows, movies and so on.

Tonight,
the baseball team of our country met Australia baseball team to fight for the qualification of Olympics.
If we didn't defeat them, we can hardly get the qualification.
However, they were in the same crisis.

I had to do my physics homework so that I couldn't went 中正堂 to watch the game by large screen with others.
No matter where to watch the game, I would still cheer for them.

In the begining,
both sides didn't let each other to get any score.
However,
just the second time for our players to attack.
Our team broke through their defense and get ahead by four points.

Not only players but also us, the audience, were inspired.
I couldn't help but to feel so excited.

At last,
the game ended with the consequence 5:0.
I could hardly describe my happiness by words.

And I was also glad that I finished my homework and had the time to continue this diary.

As After NCTU won the bridge and soccer events finally.
We were sure that NTHU got the second place again for six times in recent six times of Meichu matchups.

There were totally 11 events.
We won six of them and one event in a draw.

It was my first time to participate in Meichu.
So exciting and interesting were the games.

Meichu was a competition between us and them.
Besides, it also improved the friendship between two schools.
We held parade to their campus and shout to them fighting back for their parade few days before.
Though it seemed not so friendly on the surface, but we all knew that it was just for fun.

I was tired because of cheering for our school teams.
We shouted and hyelled for players even we were almost lost.

I felt so excited that we won at last.
At last, I could take a rest and concentrate on my study.

The bad news was that I was sick.
It was awful. :(

08.02.29

As usual,
I had three classes this morning.
But after lunch,
we went NTHU's playground at once.
Meichu started!

In the beginning,
we were not allow to enter.
It made us confused.
It was just a start ceremony.

Any way,
we finally get in the seat and had no idea what was going on.
Wow,
it was really a strange situation that students of two school "fought with their mouth".
We were showing our determination to win the contest.
----

While it was about four o'clock,
Pg, David, Jack and I went to NTHU's badminton building.
In addition to players and guests,
only two hundred people could enter the building staying at audience place.
We were the 89. 90. 91. 92 who stood in the line.
So glad that we had got the chance to watch the race clearly.

Introducing judges, players and coaches was the beginning of the races.
Then two single matches followed.
The players of the two sides were both much great than us.
But our players won with no much difficulties.

Totally five matches,
our teams won all of them though our score sometimes fell behind them.

It was a great victory and I was glad that NCTU won the badminton race.
My favorite sports.

Sadly,
we were failed on table tennis event.

It was a computer game of RPG type.
I like it and had a fun time with it long ago.
Now it had been adapted for movie.

Pg had watched it in movie theater in ChiaYi and I and my roommates watched tonight.
He was so disappointed that he almost fell in asleep in cinema.

In the begging,
we were confused because the story went so soon.
Sometimes, it was even a chaos.
Above all, the sight changed quickly and made it hard to understand what was going on.

At last,
we all thought that it was a bad movie.
Though we didn't expect its story.
It even had no pretty sight and delicate animations.

I was so glad that I didn't pay for it.

It was about eleven.
Before the forth class began,
Pg and I left the classroom earlier to wait for tickets us Meichu.
A competition between NCTU and NTHU, the school next to us.

Most of events didn't need tickets.
But in basketball and volleyball events,
we needed tickets to enter the seats.

It started to release tickets at twelve thirty.
However,
we had to go there earlier to stand in a line.
We had heard that there would be many people there waiting for tickets before we went.
But we underestimated the number of waiting people.

There were about 150 people standing there though it was still one an a half hours before twelve thirty.
Fortunately,
180 tickets released today and another 180 will release on Wednesday.
Pg and I got here in time and called Jack to come as quick as possible.

By the way,
though Mushroom was too busy to wait the ticket after twelve.
She had time to help us to buy our lunch before twelve.

Only two more tickets were needed.
Poor David came too late and wait for some tissues.

It was Saturday, the day for most of people to rest.
We usually went out to eat in weekend.

While Pg and I was on the way to the restaurant walking by the lake in NCTU.
A terrible smelling stopped our conversation.
It was surely the smelling of fish but even more disgusting than I had met in the market.

Cold wind was running around us and water drops were falling down to the earth.
My coat kept me away form cold air.

However,
those fish in the lake could depend on nothing.

Their bodies floated and were pushed by water to the shore, just like leaves.
They couldn't resist the cold weather and lost their lives.

I felt really sad.
It made me recall my poor fish, which was sent by 恩諭 as my birthday gift.
It was died of cold weather.

Pg and I increased our walking speed and left there in a hurry.
I could do nothing but only feel sorry to the tragedy.
And that was the real reason why I felt sad.
